What is the debt collection procedure for active loans?
Debt reminders and payment default
We remind you of your upcoming payment due date via text message and email. If your payment is overdue, we will continue sending reminders by text message, email, and phone. Payment reminders are sent starting from the first day the payment is overdue. We will send a payment reminder by post when your loan is at risk of termination. The letter will be sent to the postal address linked to your Bondora account. Fees may be charged for payment reminders in accordance with the legislation of the country where the loan was granted.

If the debt is not paid in full
If you have several consecutive monthly installments that are partially or fully unpaid, and despite repeated payment reminders and notices you have not paid your overdue debt, we will terminate the loan agreement(s). The entire debt will then be transferred to the debt collection process.
You can read more about what happens after the termination of a loan agreement here.
Please, note: If you have more than one unpaid monthly installment and make a payment that is not sufficient to cover the entire overdue debt, your payment will be allocated to the debt in accordance with the terms specified in your loan agreement.
